Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington, D.C., representing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The ministry announced that Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, will attend the high-level gathering on 19 February 2026 on behalf of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The meeting marks the first official session of the newly established Board of Peace.
In its press release, the Foreign Ministry emphasized that Fidan’s participation reflects Türkiye’s continued commitment to diplomatic engagement and multilateral dialogue aimed at strengthening international peace and stability. The inaugural session in Washington is expected to bring together senior representatives and policymakers to discuss global security challenges and cooperative frameworks for conflict resolution.
