HÜDA PAR leader calls for unity and solidarity in Ramadan message
HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu has issued a comprehensive message on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing spiritual renewal, social solidarity, and unwavering support for the oppressed—particularly in Gaza.
In his address, Yapıcıoğlu described Ramadan as a sacred season of mercy and forgiveness, reminding believers that it is far more than a period of abstaining from food and drink. Rather, he said, it is a month dedicated to disciplining the soul, purifying the heart, and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood within the Muslim community.
A Month of Mercy, Struggle, and Renewal
Beginning his message with the basmala, Yapıcıoğlu expressed gratitude to Allah for allowing Muslims to witness another Ramadan. He described the month as a divine opportunity to mend broken hearts, deepen compassion, and reinforce unity.
“Ramadan is not merely about hunger,” he stated. “It is a time to refine the self, cleanse the heart, and restore fractured relationships. It is the season to expand our tables, multiply our sharing, and strengthen our solidarity.”
He underlined that Ramadan offers believers a chance to better understand the struggles of those in need and to transform empathy into concrete action. The month, he added, is also one of spiritual striving—an opportunity to renew commitment to faith, justice, and moral responsibility.
Gaza in the Shadow of Ramadan
Turning to global concerns, Yapıcıoğlu highlighted the suffering in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, noting that Muslims are entering Ramadan while oppression and destruction continue in these lands. He described scenes of hunger, ruined cities, and damaged hospitals in Gaza as a deep wound in the conscience of humanity.
Recalling that the Qur’an was first revealed in Ramadan as guidance for humanity and a source of liberation for the oppressed, he stressed that believers must not remain indifferent to injustice. He offered prayers for relief and deliverance for the people of Gaza and for oppressed communities worldwide.
“Salvation and Peace Are Found in Islam”
Yapıcıoğlu also addressed what he characterized as a broader moral crisis facing humanity. He argued that modern consumer culture has left many in search of meaning and truth, and asserted that the answers to these existential questions lie in Islam and its revelation-based teachings.
“Humanity will find the meaning and truth it seeks only in Islam,” he stated, calling on Muslims to hold firmly to the Qur’an and to stand united. He urged the faithful to transform Ramadan into a season of collective revival—where hearts soften, ranks tighten, and the spirit of the Ummah is strengthened.
A Call to Action for Party Organizations
In a direct appeal to HÜDA PAR’s provincial and district branches, Yapıcıoğlu called for active outreach during Ramadan. He encouraged party members to share iftar meals with the poor, orphans, and the lonely, and to visit households door to door—listening to concerns and offering both material and moral support.
“Our organizations should be a hand of mercy and a door of compassion wherever they are,” he said, emphasizing sincerity, brotherhood, and heartfelt engagement alongside charitable assistance.
Prayers for a Blessed Ramadan
Concluding his message, Yapıcıoğlu prayed for unity, peace, and spiritual growth throughout the holy month. He expressed hope that Ramadan would be marked by blessed sahurs and iftars, strengthened solidarity, and accepted prayers and fasts.
As Muslims prepare to welcome the month of mercy, Yapıcıoğlu’s message frames Ramadan not only as a time of worship, but as a call to renewed faith, shared responsibility, and steadfast commitment to justice rooted in Islamic values. (ILKHA)
