Two killed in car blast near shrine in Syria’s Suwayda
Two people were killed in a car explosion in the town of Al-Qurayya in the southwestern countryside of Suwayda province, according to local media reports.
Syria TV reported that the blast occurred near the shrine of Sultan Pasha al-Atrash, a widely respected national figure in Syria. State-run Al-Ekhbariyah TV cited sources as saying that the vehicle was carrying weapons and ammunition at the time of the explosion.
The cause of the blast has not been officially confirmed, and it remains unclear whether it was accidental or deliberate.
Authorities have not released the identities of the victims, and no official statement has yet been issued as investigations into the incident continue. (ILKHA)
