Israeli drone strike kills three Palestinians in Gaza City, defying ceasefire
Israeli occupation forces launched a drone strike on a civilian vehicle in the Al-Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City on Thursday, killing three Palestinians and injuring several others.
Medical sources in Gaza confirmed that the attack targeted a civilian car near Abu Khadra Mosque, striking innocent civilians in a densely populated residential area. The victims were killed instantly in the strike, which underscores Israel’s continued aggression against the Palestinian population even after the ceasefire agreement was announced in October last year.
Despite the supposed truce, Israeli attacks have persisted relentlessly across the Gaza Strip. According to Palestinian health authorities, more than 4,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured in Israeli strikes since the ceasefire took effect — a grim testament to Israel’s failure to honor its commitments and its ongoing policy of collective punishment against the people of Gaza.
This latest strike on a civilian vehicle in one of Gaza City’s main neighborhoods highlights the extreme vulnerability of Palestinians under continued Israeli military pressure. Families in Gaza continue to live in fear, with no safe place from Israel’s drones and warplanes, even during a declared ceasefire period.
The repeated killing of civilians, including in residential areas far from any alleged military targets, reinforces accusations that Israel systematically targets Palestinian lives with impunity. As the death toll continues to rise under the shadow of a broken ceasefire, Palestinians are once again left mourning loved ones while the international community remains largely silent in the face of these ongoing war crimes.
