Israeli soldier wounded by sniper fire as Gaza resistance intensifies

The Israeli occupation army admitted on Sunday that one of its soldiers was wounded by sniper fire while serving in northern Gaza, as Palestinian resistance operations against invading forces continue to intensify.
According to the occupation’s statement, the soldier—part of the 401st armored brigade—sustained minor injuries and is receiving treatment. The announcement comes against the backdrop of escalating field clashes, where resistance factions have stepped up targeted operations against Israeli military vehicles and positions.
Official figures released by the Israeli regime claim that since the beginning of its brutal war on Gaza on 7 October 2023, at least 898 soldiers have been killed and 6,190 wounded. However, due to the regime’s strict military censorship and information blackout, many observers believe the real casualty toll is significantly higher—an effort to conceal the true scale of battlefield losses from the Israeli public.
Palestinian resistance groups report that in recent days they have successfully carried out a series of precision attacks on armored vehicles, troop gatherings, and military outposts belonging to the Zionist occupation forces. These operations, they say, are part of a broader strategy to repel the invasion, inflict heavy losses, and defend Gaza’s steadfast population in the face of ongoing massacres and destruction.
The continued injuries and fatalities among occupation forces highlight the resilience and effectiveness of Gaza’s resistance fighters, who maintain that their struggle will persist until the siege is lifted, the aggression ends, and Palestinian rights are restored. (ILKHA)
