Yemen army declares war on U.S. and Israel

Yemen has formally declared its entry into the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, escalating tensions across the Middle East.
The announcement follows Israeli strikes on Iranian territory on June 13, and subsequent U.S. airstrikes that intensified the hostilities.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, made the declaration via a statement on his personal social media account, stating: “Yemen is officially entering the war (against the United States and Israel). Keep your ships away from our territorial waters.”
The statement underscores Yemen’s alignment with Iran in the rapidly expanding regional conflict. It also serves as a direct warning to U.S. and allied naval forces operating in the Red Sea and surrounding waters.
This follows a military communiqué issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces on Saturday, condemning Israeli attacks on Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and other parts of the Arab and Islamic world. The statement accused Israel, with full support from the United States, of pursuing a strategy aimed at destabilizing the entire region.
Yemen’s entry into the conflict marks a significant development, raising fears of broader military confrontation across the Middle East, particularly given the country’s strategic position near critical maritime routes. (ILKHA)
