Israeli captives calls for streets to rise against Netanyahu’s war policy

Israeli captive Guy Gilboa-Dalal, held in Gaza for 22 months, has publicly called on the Israeli government to halt its relentless assault on Gaza, warning that the lives of captives and civilians alike are at imminent risk.
The video, released Friday by the al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, portrays the devastating human cost of Israel’s ongoing siege and bombardment.
Titled “Time Is Running Out…!”, the footage shows Dalal navigating Gaza City’s war-torn streets amid collapsed infrastructure and constant bombardment. Speaking directly to the Israeli government and settler communities, Dalal implored them to protest Netanyahu’s ongoing war, stating that the government’s actions are endangering all captives: “We won’t be leaving Gaza City. That’s what al-Qassam told us… this means the captives will die.”
Dalal described the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza: “There is no food, no gas, no water, no electricity. I, the rest of the captives, and the two million residents of the Gaza Strip are all living through these difficulties.” He sharply criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, contrasting the suffering of captives and civilians with the political elite’s lavish lifestyles: “Thank you, Prime Minister Netanyahu, for finally letting us have some bread, cheese, and Indomie. Thank you for allowing us some energy to survive, while your son is in Miami having barbecues.”
Dalal underscored that Israel’s continued military operations, particularly the planned invasion of Gaza City, could constitute a death sentence for captives. He warned of a looming catastrophe affecting himself and more than eight other captives, calling on Israeli settlers and former captives to pressure the government to stop the war: “Protest in large numbers, protest hard. Please stop this madness. Stop this war. I beg you… take to the streets. Create chaos. Create trouble for this government, because it wants to keep us here.”
In a pointed condemnation, Dalal declared that he and the other captives are held not by Hamas but by the Israeli government itself: “We’re captives of Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, and Smotrich, who have been lying the entire time and don’t want us to go back home.”
The video paints a grim picture of life in besieged Gaza under continuous Israeli bombardment, with explosions, gunfire, and military activity surrounding Dalal and the other captives.
This footage highlights the humanitarian catastrophe inflicted by Israel’s siege, where starvation, infrastructure destruction, and constant military aggression compound civilian suffering. Dalal’s message also exposes the growing internal dissent among Israeli captives and settlers, reflecting a deepening critique of Netanyahu’s war-driven policies, widely seen as prioritizing political power over human life.
As the conflict intensifies, Dalal’s plea serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for international intervention to end the siege, lift the blockade, and protect civilians in Gaza from further devastation. (ILKHA)
