HÜDA PAR Deputy demands global action to halt Gaza genocide

HÜDA PAR Deputy Chairman and Gaziantep MP Şahzade Demir passionately denounced the ongoing atrocities in Gaza, labeling them a "genocide" during a powerful press conference at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Demir described the situation in Gaza as an unfolding human catastrophe deliberately orchestrated by Israel and enabled by the silence of world powers. “The people of Gaza are being starved, bombarded, and driven to death under an inhumane siege,” he declared. “This is not a crisis. This is genocide—executed by the Israeli regime in full view of the so-called civilized world.”
Demir stressed that the root of the suffering in Gaza is the decades-long Israeli occupation, which continues its war of extermination against the Palestinian people. He denounced the latest Israeli corridor plan in Khan Yunus as a ploy to divide and dominate, dismissing Tel Aviv’s ceasefire offers as nothing more than deceitful tactics.
“Their aim is clear,” Demir stated. “To wipe out the will and presence of the Palestinian people. A just and lasting peace can only be achieved by the total withdrawal of the Zionist forces and the immediate lifting of the blockade imposed on Gaza.”
“Modern-Day Starvation War”
Pointing to the deliberate deprivation tactics being used by Israel, Demir highlighted the famine conditions imposed on the civilian population. “We are witnessing a modern-day starvation war,” he said. “Babies are dying of hunger, hospitals are in ruins, and families are being slaughtered in their homes—all with impunity.”
Demir emphasized that this genocide is being carried out while the Western world looks on or worse, provides political and military support. “Those who remain silent or assist the Zionist regime are complicit,” he said.
“Colombia’s Resistance Is a Model for All”
Commending the landmark Gaza Summit held in Colombia under the Hague Group, Demir hailed the decisions to block the shipment of weapons and war materials to Israel and to suspend public contracts benefiting the occupation. “These are not symbolic gestures—they are a real start to isolating the Zionist regime,” he said. “Every state that claims to uphold justice must follow this example.”
“Global Conscience Must Wake Up”
Demir issued a passionate call to action: “The world must no longer remain a spectator. We call on every free nation, every just leader, and every conscientious soul to stand up and stop this slaughter. Human dignity demands it. The blood of the oppressed cries out for justice.”
He concluded by reiterating that Gaza’s liberation will not come through negotiations under occupation but through resistance, unity, and the unwavering support of free people across the globe.
Demir’s remarks reflect growing outrage in Türkiye and across the Muslim world over the silence of global powers and the betrayal of Palestinian rights. His call signals that more voices in the Islamic world are rising to demand not just ceasefires—but freedom and justice for all Palestinians. (ILKHA)
