HÜDA PAR MP Serkan Ramanlı urges Gaza guarantor states to confront Israeli aggression
HÜDA PAR Spokesperson and Batman Member of Parliament Serkan Ramanlı strongly highlighted the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza, urging guarantor countries to immediately fulfill their responsibilities and take concrete action to stop the ongoing suffering.
Speaking on the floor of the parliament, Ramanlı focused much of his remarks on the situation in Gaza, where he said civilians continue to suffer from ongoing attacks, severe shortages of food and water, and deteriorating living conditions despite a ceasefire agreement.
Ramanlı argued that attacks on Gaza have continued despite the ceasefire and warned that the humanitarian situation has reached critical levels. He pointed to restrictions on the entry of essential supplies, damage to water infrastructure, and the spread of disease among the population.
The HÜDA PAR lawmaker urged guarantor countries involved in regional agreements to take immediate and concrete steps to protect civilians and ensure compliance with ceasefire commitments.
“The guarantor mechanism must be activated immediately,” Ramanlı said, arguing that guarantor states should assume a more active role in preventing further escalation and ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches the population of Gaza.
He stressed that the immediate priority should be addressing the humanitarian needs of civilians rather than focusing on other political or military issues.
Ramanlı described conditions in Gaza as increasingly dire, stating that shortages of food, clean water, and medical necessities continue to affect large segments of the population. He also highlighted concerns about damaged infrastructure and the growing risk of disease outbreaks.
According to Ramanlı, reconstruction efforts and humanitarian assistance cannot be delayed while civilians continue to face severe hardships.
In his closing remarks, the Batman MP argued that guarantor countries should take decisive measures to ensure that agreements are implemented and respected. He maintained that stronger international engagement is necessary to prevent further suffering and to create conditions for lasting stability.
Ramanlı’s comments come amid continued international debate over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and ongoing calls from various political parties, governments, and aid organizations for increased efforts to protect civilians and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the territory.
