Yemen’s leader reaffirms nation's unwavering support for Palestine
Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, emphatically rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims that Yemen’s stance on the Palestinian cause was born out of weakness or surrender.
Al-Houthi made it clear that Yemen’s unwavering position remains firmly committed to the Palestinian people’s struggle for justice and liberation from Israeli occupation.
Al-Houthi highlighted Yemen’s unyielding support for Palestine, emphasizing that Yemen’s military operations — whether targeting Israeli interests in occupied Palestine or imposing a blockade on Israeli vessels — have always been driven by the noble cause of standing with the oppressed. Yemen, he asserted, is not beholden to foreign powers and will continue to act as a force for good, supporting the Palestinian Resistance no matter the pressure.
Al-Houthi revealed that Yemen’s military capabilities have become a significant force to be reckoned with. Despite the relentless pressure from the U.S. and Israel, Yemen has succeeded in carrying out over 131 successful operations targeting key Israeli sites. The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) have launched more than 250 precision missiles and drones, delivering decisive blows to Israel’s military infrastructure, including attacks on Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Eilat.
Perhaps most notably, al-Houthi cited the Yemeni strike on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, which disrupted air travel and sent shockwaves through Israel’s economy. The attack was described as a resounding success, exposing vulnerabilities in Israeli defenses and underscoring the growing power and precision of Yemen’s military operations. This strike, al-Houthi explained, not only hurt Israel’s economic interests but also sowed widespread fear among its citizens, forcing millions into shelters and paralyzing the country’s air traffic.
The Yemeni leader made it clear that despite the intensifying U.S. aggression — which included over 1,700 airstrikes and naval attacks on Yemen since mid-March — Yemen’s commitment to supporting Palestine has not wavered. Al-Houthi condemned these American attacks as desperate measures to break the will of the Yemeni people. Rather than weakening Yemen’s resolve, however, these assaults have only strengthened Yemen’s determination to continue its support for the Palestinian Resistance.
Al-Houthi pointed out that the U.S. and Israel’s repeated failure to neutralize Yemen’s military capabilities — despite their immense resources, including aircraft carriers and strategic bombers — has only highlighted the strength and resilience of Yemen's armed forces. Far from defeating Yemen’s resolve, the attacks have made clear the futility of U.S. and Israeli efforts to silence the voice of Yemen’s support for Palestine.
In his address, al-Houthi also expressed admiration for the courage and steadfastness of the Palestinian Resistance. He praised the Palestinians’ unbreakable will to resist occupation and oppression, acknowledging that while the Palestinian people possess the moral strength to endure, they need the full support of the Islamic Ummah to win their struggle for freedom.
Al-Houthi emphasized that the responsibility of the entire Muslim world is enormous in this moment. He stressed that any continued indifference to the suffering in Gaza would ultimately harm the Ummah itself. Yemen stands as a beacon of solidarity, he said, urging Muslim nations to unite in their support for Palestine and against the forces of occupation.
Finally, al-Houthi strongly condemned efforts to normalize relations with the Israeli occupation, especially in relation to Al-Aqsa Mosque. He expressed deep concern over the Israeli regime’s plans to destroy the sacred site and build the so-called Third Temple in its place. Yemen, al-Houthi warned, will not stand idly by in the face of such threats to one of Islam’s holiest sites.
In conclusion, Sayyed al-Houthi reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast position as a leader in the resistance against oppression. Yemen, he declared, will continue to support Palestine — through military operations, economic blockades, and diplomatic pressure — for as long as it takes to achieve justice for the Palestinian people. He called on the entire Islamic Ummah to unite, to rise above sectarian divisions, and to act in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. Yemen stands with Palestine, and it calls on all Muslims to do the same. (ILKHA)
