Orphans Foundation continues vital cash aid rogram for needy families in Afghanistan
The Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı) is sustaining its critical cash assistance efforts across Afghanistan, where millions are struggling to survive amidst the devastating combination of years of conflict, economic collapse, severe drought, and natural disasters.
According to the United Nations, humanitarian assistance is urgently needed by over 20 million people in the country. Children, particularly orphans and those lacking caregivers, are bearing the brunt of the crisis, facing acute challenges like rising unemployment, soaring food prices, and severely limited access to essential healthcare.
In response to these dire conditions, Orphans Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children both in Türkiye and internationally, has intensified its relief activities in Afghanistan.
As part of its ongoing orphan monthly allowance program, the foundation recently distributed financial assistance to struggling families. The aid was strategically distributed to a broad group of beneficiaries, with a priority placed on orphans, vulnerable children, and families with no other means of support.
The cash assistance was reportedly distributed in close coordination with local authorities to ensure the process was effective, transparent, and that the aid reached those most in need. This crucial financial support enables recipient families to better meet fundamental needs, including securing food, shelter, and necessary healthcare.
Officials from Orphans Foundation underscored the direct impact of donor contributions, stating that funds immediately reach orphaned and disadvantaged children and families.
They emphasized that every donation provides a vital sense of hope and tangible relief to thousands of people striving to survive under the extremely difficult humanitarian conditions currently prevailing across Afghanistan. (ILKHA)
