Iran and UAE to resume flights starting July 1
Iran has announced that flights between the country and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will resume on July 1, following approval from aviation authorities in both nations.
Civil Aviation Organization spokesman Majid Akhavan said that Iranian and Emirati aviation officials have issued the necessary permits to restart air travel between the two countries.
According to Akhavan, the initial phase of resumed operations will be carried out by Iranian airlines, with additional carriers expected to be included later after completing regulatory reviews.
He also noted that the resumption of flights on other international routes remains under consideration and will depend on further regulatory approvals by the relevant authorities.
The move marks a step toward restoring air connectivity between Iran and the UAE after previous disruptions, though no detailed timetable has yet been provided for the expansion of additional routes. (ILKHA)
