Hope Caravan Foundation provides aid to hundreds of families and orphans in Afghanistan

The Hope Caravan Foundation (Umut Kervanı Vakfı) has launched a humanitarian aid campaign, delivering food and cash assistance to hundreds of families in need and orphans in Afghanistan.
Under the leadership of Cengiz Kurtaran, President of the Hope Caravan Foundation, the organization has mobilized efforts to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities in the region.
Cengiz Kurtaran highlighted the severe living conditions faced by many Afghans. "Our brothers and sisters in need of help were identified beforehand. I was very touched when I looked at the stories of our brothers and sisters. A family in need came here by traveling a distance of five hours. Imagine a food package; the family needs it and makes a 4-5 hour journey to get the food package," Kurtaran said.
He emphasized the extreme hardships faced by these families, noting their willingness to travel long distances in scorching summer heat for basic necessities. "There are many families in need in Afghanistan. When we look at their stories, it is hard not to be touched. They are in such a needy situation that they can travel for kilometers in this summer heat and come here. The drama of these people who walk for kilometers for a food parcel is really heartbreaking."
Kurtaran outlined the foundation's strategy, which focuses first on providing immediate food aid and then offering cash support with the help of philanthropists. "We are currently able to help 100 families here, but our hearts would like to help thousands of families. On this occasion, we appeal to our benefactors. Let them support us, inshallah, we will deliver their charity to our brothers and sisters here," he stated.
Kurtaran stressed the urgent need for more support from philanthropists to address the widespread desperation in Afghanistan. "The number of such families is very high in Afghanistan. We are waiting for the support of philanthropists. The work of Hope Caravan continues uninterruptedly to reach families in need and meet their basic needs. There are many more families waiting for a helping hand, and we invite everyone to support us in order for this aid to reach them."
He emphasized that this aid effort is not just about providing food packages but represents a significant humanitarian step. "This aid is not just a food package, but also a big step for humanity," Kurtaran concluded.
The Hope Caravan Foundation remains dedicated to its mission of providing relief to those in dire need and calls on the international community to join in its efforts to support Afghan families struggling with poverty. (ILKHA)
