Hamas condemns Israeli field executions as escalation of brutal crimes
Hamas Movement has strongly condemned the latest field execution carried out by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians, describing it as part of a dangerous pattern of brutality that will ultimately increase the price Israel pays for its ongoing aggression.
The Palestinian resistance movement mourned the killing of 44-year-old Zakaria Ali Mohammad Qaddis, who was executed in cold blood by Israeli soldiers Tuesday evening in the town of al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.
According to Hamas, this extrajudicial killing adds to Israel’s growing record of crimes against the Palestinian people, which have intensified at an alarming rate amid the occupation’s continued assaults on Palestinian lives, land, and dignity.
“These criminal acts will not break the will of our people,” Hamas asserted. Instead, the movement warned that such atrocities only heighten the cost Israel will bear, with consequences certain to rebound against the occupation through continued operations by Palestinian resistance fighters defending their homeland.
Hamas emphasized that these brutal tactics serve only to reinforce Palestinians’ unyielding commitment to their national and historic rights, including the right to resist occupation and achieve freedom.
The statement further called on Palestinians—especially the youth across the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem, and throughout Palestinian cities and villages—to escalate popular mobilization and confront Israeli forces and illegal settlers. This appeal comes as Israel intensifies its settlement expansion and Judaization schemes, which systematically target Palestinian land, holy sites, and civilian populations in clear violation of international law.
Palestinian leaders and activists have repeatedly highlighted how such field executions, home demolitions, and settler violence form part of a broader strategy of ethnic cleansing and collective punishment. Rights groups have documented a surge in Israeli raids and killings in the West Bank, where unarmed civilians and youth are increasingly targeted, fueling widespread anger and resistance.
By carrying out these executions, Israel is further isolating itself internationally while galvanizing Palestinian unity and determination. The Palestinian people remain steadfast, viewing these crimes not as signs of strength, but as desperate attempts by the occupation to suppress a just struggle for liberation that will ultimately prevail.
The blood of martyrs like Zakaria Qaddis, Hamas affirmed, will only water the tree of resistance and bring closer the day when Palestinian rights are fully restored. (ILKHA)
