Türkiye’s housing sales rise 12.4% in July, reaching 142,858 units
Housing sales across Türkiye rose sharply in July 2025, increasing by 12.4% compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
A total of 142,858 houses were sold nationwide during the month. İstanbul maintained its position as the top market with 23,152 sales, followed by Ankara with 12,491 and İzmir with 7,815. At the other end of the scale, Ardahan recorded just 58 sales, Bayburt 93, and Hakkari 103.
Mortgage-backed home sales accounted for 18,425 transactions, while other types of sales totaled 124,433. Of the overall figure, 43,984 homes were sold for the first time, whereas 98,874 sales were for second-hand properties.
For the January–July 2025 period, housing sales increased by 24.2% year-on-year, reaching a total of 834,751 units across the country.
The data reflects continued growth in Türkiye’s housing market despite broader economic fluctuations, with major metropolitan areas remaining the most active hubs for property transactions. (ILKHA)
