Türkiye has strongly condemned Israel's recent military attacks on southern Syria, describing them as violations of Syria's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law.

In a statement released on Monday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry denounced Israeli strikes targeting the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra, warning that such actions threaten regional stability and undermine efforts to restore normalcy in Syria.

The ministry stated that the attacks constitute a clear breach of Syria’s unity and sovereignty, while also violating the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement. It emphasized that the continued military operations have negatively affected the security and daily lives of civilians living in the region.

According to the statement, the attacks disregard the safety of Syrian citizens and their property, further worsening humanitarian conditions in areas already affected by years of conflict.

Türkiye stressed that the strikes risk undermining the progress Syria has achieved since December 2024 and could jeopardize broader efforts aimed at ensuring stability and reconstruction across the country.

Calling on the international community to take a more active role, Ankara urged global actors to fulfill their responsibilities and work toward ending actions that threaten Syria’s security and regional peace.

The ministry reiterated Türkiye’s support for Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing that respect for international law remains essential for achieving lasting stability in the Middle East.
