MAZLUMDER releases 2023 Gaza report exposing ongoing genocide
The Association for Human Rights and Solidarity for the Oppressed (MAZLUMDER) has unveiled its Gaza Report for 2023, titled "Genocide Witnessed Before the Eyes of Humanity."
The comprehensive report is organized into four segments: an overview of the Palestinian issue, events in Palestine from 2009 to 2023, post-October 7, 2023 developments, and a legal assessment.
Highlighting the ongoing genocide by the occupying regime in Gaza, the report emphasizes a shocking statistic: a child is killed every 10 minutes.
The report addresses the ban on pro-Palestinian meetings and demonstrations in the US and various European countries. It sheds light on the suppression of journalists, intimidation of celebrities, and attempts to restrict social media concerning the occupying regime.
"International law and human rights protection mechanisms have become paralyzed," asserts the report. It criticizes the stagnation of international law, institutions, and human rights protection mechanisms, especially in the face of the recent genocide. The report questions the effectiveness of institutions built to protect human rights, pointing out the lack of action in domestic legal processes, the dismissal of significant cases like the Mavi Marmara, and the continuance of political, commercial, and military relations with the openly genocidal occupying regime.
The report concludes by stating that it is a vital effort to prevent the forgetting of genocide. MAZLUMDER's struggle for rights and freedoms aims to expose oppression, with reports serving as lasting tools to preserve historical memory and contribute to a better future. The Gaza Report maintains the same sensitivity seen in previous investigations, preventing the forgetting of the 2009 Israeli attacks, documenting massacres, and providing evidence of chemical weapon use, which led to criminal complaints.
In addition to exploring the historical context of occupation, massacres, and genocide in Palestine, the report delves into post-October 7, 2023 events, crimes, and their legal evaluations. (ILKHA)
