HÜDA PAR launches free Kurdish course in Batman

HÜDA PAR has launched a new initiative in Batman to preserve and promote the Kurdish language.
The organization has started a Kurdish course at the Virtuous Educators Association in the Gültepe Neighbourhood, open to young people and adults eager to learn or enhance their knowledge of Kurdish.
The course is part of a broader effort to maintain the cultural legacy of the Kurdish people. HÜDA PAR Batman Provincial Chairman, Davut Şahin, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, "Our mother tongue, Kurdish, is gradually being forgotten among the Kurdish community. We need to keep this language alive. Because every language is a verse of Allah." He pointed out that the widespread use of mobile phones and the lack of sufficient elective courses in schools have contributed to the decline in Kurdish language proficiency among children.

Şahin also highlighted the community aspect of the initiative, urging all citizens to join the free course. "We have opened this course, but we call on the people of Batman to come to this course and learn their mother tongue," he said, expressing hope that community participation would be instrumental in revitalizing the use of Kurdish.
This move by HÜDA PAR is seen as an important step towards cultural preservation, aiming to pass on the language to future generations while addressing current linguistic challenges within the community. (ILKHA)
