Erdoğan warns against attacks on family and deviant ideologies at TÜRGEV event
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan attended the 30th Foundation Anniversary Event of the Youth and Education Service Foundation of Türkiye (TÜRGEV) held at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul.
Erdoğan highlighted the importance of strong societal institutions, particularly the family, and cautioned against what he described as systematic efforts to undermine traditional values and influence future generations.
“Institutions that support the society and carry it to the future, first and foremost family, are being targeted by certain circles,” President Erdoğan said. “Likewise, these very circles are also working to inject into young minds deviancies such as LGBT that are incompatible with human nature, as well as similar ideas and ideologies.”
The President also drew attention to the dual nature of technological advancements, noting both their benefits and potential dangers. He pointed to emerging risks posed by artificial intelligence and digital technologies, while criticizing what he called an “elitist minority” seeking to dominate global affairs.
“An elitist minority that considers itself above the law and society is seeking to seize the control of humanity’s future through the secret organizations they set up, the asymmetrical power they wield, and the means provided them by technology,” Erdoğan stated.
He concluded his remarks with a call for vigilance, urging the nation to remain alert in the face of these challenges.“Let me underscore that in the face of this direct threat against human beings and the humanity, we, without any exception, must all stay on high alert and take the necessary precautions,” he emphasized.
TÜRGEV, founded 30 years ago, is a prominent foundation focused on youth development, education, and social services in Türkiye. The anniversary event served as a platform for the President to address broader cultural, social, and technological issues affecting Turkish society and the wider world. (ILKHA)
