Palestinian youth killed by Israeli forces during raid in Tulkarm

Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a 23-year-old Palestinian youth, Ayman Fadi Qasim Naji, on Tuesday evening during a violent raid on the Artah suburb, south of Tulkarm.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Naji was critically injured by Israeli forces and later succumbed to his wounds after being detained. His body was eventually handed over to the Red Crescent and transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.
Eyewitnesses and local sources reported that Israeli special forces stormed the Artah suburb, besieging a residential building at its entrance. Reinforcements, including military vehicles, quickly followed, with soldiers firing indiscriminately during the assault. Naji, who was injured in the gunfire, was reportedly left without medical aid and detained by the occupation forces until he died from his wounds.
The sources revealed that the soldiers used loudspeakers to demand that the occupants of the targeted house surrender. During the raid, Mahmoud Amin Abu Hamdeh, a resident of Nour Shams camp, was detained by Israeli forces in the Artah suburb.
The raid is part of the ongoing Israeli aggression in Tulkarm and its surrounding areas, which has seen an escalation in violence and military incursions. Witnesses noted that Israeli forces have turned several Palestinian homes into makeshift military barracks and sniper positions, creating a state of terror among residents. Snipers deployed by the occupation forces have reportedly been firing indiscriminately at anything that moves.
The situation in Tulkarm remains tense, with large deployments of Israeli infantry patrols across the city and camp. This assault is one of many recent incidents reflecting the intensification of Israeli violence against Palestinians, as the occupation continues to target civilians and escalate its oppressive measures.
Palestinians have condemned the killing of Ayman Fadi Qasim Naji as another blatant example of Israel’s excessive use of force and disregard for Palestinian lives. Advocacy groups and activists have called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for its ongoing violations of international law and the human rights of Palestinians.
The tragic death of Naji is a stark reminder of the daily struggles faced by Palestinians living under occupation, as the world continues to witness the consequences of Israel’s aggressive policies against the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
