Mass demonstration in Melbourne demands end to Gaza War

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Melbourne to denounce ongoing attacks on Gaza and demand an immediate end to the war.
Carrying Palestinian flags and placards, participants condemned the assaults on the Gaza Strip and called for an end to crimes against civilians. Speakers at the rally described the situation in Gaza as crimes against humanity that have reached the level of genocide, criticizing the international community’s silence.
The protesters further urged for a swift cease-fire and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.
Following the speeches, the crowd marched toward the city center chanting slogans and carrying banners reading: “Israel is a terrorist state,” “Stop the genocide in Gaza,” “Zionism is terrorism,” “Stop killing children,” “Sanction Israel now,” and “Israel kills one child every hour.”
Demonstrations like the one in Melbourne reflect growing global outrage at the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where thousands of civilians have been killed and aid agencies warn of looming famine and medical collapse. Protesters emphasized that silence and inaction only prolong the suffering of Gaza’s people.(ILKHA)
