Israeli forces raaid homes across West Bank, kidnap several Palestinians
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and extremist settler groups intensified their operations across the occupied West Bank overnight and into Monday morning, carrying out raids, arrests, and violent attacks that left several Palestinians injured and heightened tensions throughout the region.
According to local sources, Israeli forces launched a series of incursions into Palestinian communities, kidnapping several residents during nighttime raids.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli troops stormed the cities of Qalqilya and Nablus, where two young Palestinian men were abducted from their homes following searches and raids conducted by occupation forces.
In the southern city of al-Khalil (Hebron), Israeli soldiers kidnapped a 15-year-old Palestinian boy after raiding his family home in the Abu Katila area. The arrest of the minor adds to growing concerns among human rights organizations regarding the increasing detention of Palestinian children by Israeli authorities.
Meanwhile, Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta came under attack from extremist Israeli settlers. Local sources reported that around 30 settlers assaulted the home of Salem al-Haddalin in the village of Umm al-Khair, injuring six Palestinians during the attack.
The targeted home has repeatedly faced harassment and attacks by Israeli settlers and occupation forces. Two days before the assault, the Israeli army reportedly declared the area surrounding the residence a closed military zone, restricting the movement of family members and preventing them from leaving their property.
Residents and rights advocates have warned that such measures often leave Palestinian families vulnerable to settler violence while limiting their ability to seek protection or assistance.
In occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli police forces stormed the neighborhood of Issawiya, firing stun grenades during the operation. Witnesses reported heightened tensions as officers moved through the area. Israeli forces also raided and searched a home in the town of Hizma, northeast of Jerusalem.
Additional military raids were reported across several other West Bank communities. Occupation forces entered the village of Anin, west of Jenin, and carried out searches in the village of Ein al-Beida in the eastern Tubas area.
The latest raids and settler attacks come amid continuing Israeli military operations and escalating violence throughout the occupied Palestinian territories. Palestinian officials and human rights organizations have repeatedly warned of increasing settler aggression, accompanied by military measures that have resulted in widespread arrests, home raids, and restrictions on Palestinian communities.
As tensions remain high across the West Bank, Palestinian residents continue to face daily military incursions and settler attacks, further deepening concerns over the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in the occupied territory. (ILKHA)
