Israeli forces kill Palestinian youth in Jericho

Abdullah Mohammed Atiyat, a 25-year-old Palestinian, tragically succumbed to critical injuries on Sunday morning after being shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during a violent raid in Jericho on Saturday evening.
The young man’s death has sparked outrage and grief among Palestinians, who see it as yet another example of Israel’s brutal oppression in the occupied territories.
According to local sources, Atiyat was critically wounded when IOF opened fire on him in the upper body during a raid on Qasr Hisham Street in Jericho’s city center. Despite being rushed to Jericho Governmental Hospital, his condition deteriorated rapidly, necessitating a transfer to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem at dawn. Medical efforts were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead this morning.
The raid saw Israeli forces storm multiple streets and neighborhoods in Jericho, firing live ammunition indiscriminately, according to eyewitnesses. Atiyat’s killing is the latest in a series of deadly incidents targeting Palestinian youth, further fueling calls for justice and an end to Israel’s aggressive military operations in the West Bank.
Abdullah Atiyat’s death leaves a grieving community and underscores the ongoing violence faced by Palestinians under occupation. Locals are demanding accountability for what they describe as a deliberate act of aggression by Israeli forces. (ILKHA)
