Global outcry ignites: 50 nations unite in ‘For You’ campaign for Gaza’s women

A coalition of civil society organizations from 50 countries has launched a powerful global campaign titled “For You” to combat Israel’s policies of genocide and starvation in Gaza.
Spearheaded by the Migration and Diaspora Foundation and the International Platform for Solidarity with Palestinian Women, the 10-day initiative aims to mobilize global leaders and communities through marches, protests, and social media activism to demand an end to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The campaign was launched in Istanbul at a powerful press conference hosted at the Fatih Neslişah Sultan Cultural Centre, led by the Migration and Diaspora Foundation (Göç ve Diaspora Vakfı) and the International Platform for Solidarity with Palestinian Women, and supported by 10 Turkish NGOs. The event marks the beginning of a worldwide mobilization against the ongoing crimes being committed against the Palestinian people—crimes that continue with impunity and in full view of a complicit international community.
Müzeyyen Taşçı
A Global Cry of Conscience: “For You” Is For Gaza
At the heart of this campaign lies a powerful goal: to give voice to the silenced screams of Palestinian women and children, who endure the unimaginable every single day under a siege that combines bombardment, starvation, displacement, and psychological warfare.
“This is not just a campaign. This is a global cry of conscience. It is a resistance of dignity, of womanhood, and of humanity,” said Ayşe Müzeyyen Taşçı, Women’s Communication Director of the Migration and Diaspora Foundation, in an interview prior to the press statement.
Taşçı noted that the campaign will continue across 45 countries in tandem with Türkiye, featuring a wide range of coordinated events, including mass protests, demonstrations in front of foreign embassies and consulates, street actions and public vigils, women-led marches, artistic performances, and a viral social media campaign under the hashtag #ForYou.
These events aim to push leaders, media outlets, international organizations, and ordinary citizens out of their silence and into moral action.
“We want the women of the world to rise up, not just for Gaza, but for the soul of humanity. Silence in the face of genocide is complicity,” Taşçı declared.
Rabab Awad
A Voice From Gaza: ‘Starvation or Bombardment—What Would You Choose?’
The most heart-wrenching moments came during the speech of Rabab Awad, President of the International Women’s Union for Support of Jerusalem and Palestine. Speaking with the firm resolve of someone who has lived through the brutality she now seeks to stop, Awad shared: “I was born and raised in Gaza, that small yet sacred piece of land. It taught me resistance, it taught me to persevere. But today, Gaza is groaning. Gaza is bleeding. Gaza is dying—and the world remains silent.”
She continued with chilling clarity: “In Gaza, women are forced to choose between death by hunger or death by bombs. This is not a metaphor. This is not an exaggeration. This is the daily truth. Mothers bury their babies with their bare hands. Wives pull their husbands from under collapsed concrete. Starvation is not an accident—it is an Israeli weapon of war.”
Awad condemned the Zionist regime's blockade on humanitarian aid, the repeated bombing of UN tents, hospitals, and bakeries, and the deliberate starvation tactics that have led to hundreds of deaths from malnutrition—including nearly 100 children, according to the latest figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry.
From Istanbul to the World: A Call to the Ummah and Beyond
The campaign comes at a time when much of the international community has failed to stop—or even meaningfully condemn—the occupation regime’s siege on Gaza, now entering its second year. Western governments continue to provide political cover, military aid, and economic support to a regime that is openly violating every norm of human decency and international law.
“Where is the UN? Where is the International Criminal Court? Where are the defenders of human rights?” asked Imam Alrefai, President of the Semser Association, as he read the joint press release on behalf of the participating NGOs.
“If international institutions are paralyzed or corrupted by geopolitics, it is time for the global Ummah, the two billion-strong Muslim community, to take action. We are not powerless. We are just disconnected and disunited. This campaign aims to change that.”
The Goals of the “For You” Campaign:
✅ Amplify the Voices of Palestinian Women:
To share the real-life stories, resistance, and suffering of Palestinian women who are facing extermination.
✅ Expose the Israeli Occupation’s War Crimes:
To highlight the use of starvation and siege as tools of genocide, and document the mass killing of civilians, especially women and children.
✅ Mobilize a Global Network of Conscience:
To build a coalition of women, journalists, influencers, politicians, faith leaders, and citizens to form a sustained movement for Palestinian justice.
✅ Pressure Political Leaders:
To push for sanctions on Israel, end all military aid, and call for trials of Israeli war criminals under international law.
Women Lead the Struggle for Justice
This campaign stands out not only for its global reach but also for being led and organized by women—a deliberate response to the suffering endured by Palestinian women and mothers who have lost everything, yet continue to resist with dignity.
“This is not a side issue. This is the frontline of humanity. When women rise, nations awaken,” said Ayşe Müzeyyen Taşçı.

The World Must Choose: Complicity or Conscience
As the campaign begins, organizers call upon the global public—particularly women, students, academics, artists, and faith-based communities—to raise their voices louder than ever before.
“This is not just about Gaza. This is about who we are as human beings. Do we accept a world where mothers are forced to watch their children starve to death? Or do we stand up and say, ‘Enough’?” asked Rabab Awad in closing. (ILKHA)
