Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has announced the start of a regional diplomatic tour that will take him to Pakistan, Oman, and Russia, as Tehran seeks to strengthen coordination with key partners and discuss regional developments.
In a post shared on X on Friday, Araqchi described the trip as “timely,” noting that the visit will include stops in Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow.
“Embarking on timely tour of Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow,” Araqchi wrote, adding that the primary objective of the trip is to enhance coordination on bilateral relations and to consult on ongoing regional developments.
“The purpose of my visits is to closely coordinate with our partners on bilateral matters and consult on regional developments,” he said.
The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that strengthening ties with neighboring countries remains a central pillar of Tehran’s foreign policy. “Our neighbors are our priority,” he added.
The tour comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the region, with Iran engaging in ongoing diplomatic efforts to reinforce partnerships and address security, economic, and political issues with key regional and international actors. (ILKHA)
