Gaza death toll rises to 74,615 as Israeli attacks leave more Palestinians dead and injured
The death toll from Israel's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 74,615, with 175,899 Palestinians injured since October 7, 2023, according to medical sources in the besieged territory.
Hospitals across Gaza received six bodies and 27 injured people over the past 48 hours, the sources said in a report released on Tuesday.
The figures include casualties recorded since the ceasefire that took effect on October 11, 2025. Since then, at least 1,599 Palestinians have been killed and 5,774 others injured, while 847 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble, according to the report.
The sources warned that the actual death toll could be higher, as numerous victims remain trapped under destroyed buildings or lie in the streets, with ambulance and civil defence teams unable to reach them because of the devastation and ongoing access restrictions.
The latest figures underscore the continuing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where widespread destruction, shortages of essential supplies and the collapse of much of the healthcare infrastructure have compounded the suffering of the Palestinian population. (ILKHA)
