Gaza death toll climbs to 60,239 as Israeli aggression continues

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 60,239 since the start of Israel’s ongoing aggression on October 7, 2023, with the majority of victims being women and children, medical sources reported on Thursday.
The same sources confirmed that the total number of injuries has reached 146,894, while many victims remain trapped under rubble and in streets that ambulances and civil defense teams are unable to access due to ongoing bombardments and destruction.
According to hospital reports, 101 Palestinians were killed and 625 others wounded in the past 24 hours alone. Since March 18, when Israeli forces violated the ceasefire agreement, at least 9,071 people have been killed and 34,853 injured.
Medical sources also noted that in the past day, hospitals received 81 aid-related victims and 666 injured individuals, bringing the cumulative total to 1,320 killed and 8,818 injured due to aid distribution incidents and attacks targeting humanitarian relief operations.
Health officials warned that the death toll is likely higher, as numerous victims remain under debris and in inaccessible areas. Ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face severe obstacles in reaching many affected zones due to the intensity of Israeli strikes and damaged infrastructure.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has repeatedly appealed to international organizations to intervene to stop what it calls an ongoing “war of genocide” and to facilitate safe access for emergency response teams. (ILKHA)
