HÜDA PAR calls for collective responsibility in peace process

HÜDA PAR Batman MP and Party Spokesperson Serkan Ramanlı declared that Türkiye stands at a historic juncture to eliminate terrorism and achieve lasting internal peace.
Speaking at a press conference in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Ramanlı urged all political actors to seize this “historic opportunity” with sincerity, responsibility, and a collective commitment to ending decades of violence.
Ramanlı’s remarks come amid renewed discussions about the potential disarmament of the PKK, a designated terrorist organization, and broader efforts toward a peace process in Türkiye. Reflecting on the nation’s prolonged struggle, he stated: “Türkiye has suffered great pain in the spiral of violence for more than 40 years. From the beginning, we have seen the prospect of a terror-free Türkiye as a valuable and historical opportunity that must be supported.”
Emphasizing the need to learn from past mistakes, Ramanlı called for determined and sincere steps to ensure the success of the peace process. “For this process to succeed, lessons must be learned from past errors, and all stakeholders must act with resolve,” he said.
However, Ramanlı cautioned that external threats and regional instability could jeopardize these efforts. He pointed to escalating tensions in Syria and accused the “Zionist terrorist regime” of provocative actions aimed at destabilizing the region. “The threatening language, regional tensions, and foreign interventions risk poisoning this process,” he warned. “The provocative behavior of the Israeli occupation poses serious dangers that could derail efforts toward internal peace.”
The HÜDA PARspokesperson stressed that dialogue and political solutions, rather than violence, align with the will of the Turkish people. “Silencing weapons and resolving issues through dialogue reflect the nation’s desire for peace,” he said, reaffirming his party’s unwavering support for reconciliation efforts. “As HÜDA PAR, we are determined to take every responsibility and initiative necessary to establish brotherhood and internal peace. We will support every sincere and constructive initiative.”
Ramanlı also called for the establishment of a legislative commission to oversee the peace process, urging all political parties to unite in a cross-party effort to ensure long-term stability. “We invite all parties to join hands,” he said. “Political will, not polarization, is the key to ending this decades-long trauma.”
The call for unity and peace comes at a critical moment, as Türkiye navigates complex regional dynamics, including instability in neighboring countries and provocative actions by external powers. HÜDA PAR’s push for a collaborative approach underscores the party’s commitment to fostering national reconciliation and ending the cycle of violence that has plagued the country for decades.
As discussions on disarmament and peace gain momentum, Ramanlı’s remarks signal a broader appeal for solidarity, urging Türkiye’s political leaders to prioritize justice, dialogue, and unity to secure a peaceful future for the nation. (ILKHA)
