4th Türkiye-Italy Intergovernmental Summit kicks off in Rome

The 4th Türkiye-Italy Intergovernmental Summit has officially commenced today at the historic Villa Pamphili residence in Rome, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The high-level summit brings together key ministers and senior officials from both nations, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation across a wide range of fields, including trade, defense, culture, and technology.
Representing Türkiye at the summit are Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat.
Also in attendance are senior political figures and advisors, including AK Party Vice Presidents Halit Yerebakan and Faruk Acar, Presidency’s Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Chief Advisor to the President Çağrı Erhan, and Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries Haluk Görgün.
The summit is expected to focus on expanding economic ties, enhancing defense industry cooperation, and deepening collaboration in cultural and technological initiatives between Türkiye and Italy. Discussions are also anticipated to address regional and global challenges, particularly in the Mediterranean region.
The Türkiye-Italy Intergovernmental Summit, which has become a cornerstone of the strategic partnership between the two nations, marks a significant platform for enhancing dialogue and advancing joint projects in key sectors.
