At least 16 Palestinians have been injured since Israeli occupation forces launched their ongoing military raid on Qalandia refugee camp and the nearby town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

The raid, which has continued for more than a day, has been marked by widespread military deployments, movement restrictions, and repeated confrontations with residents as Israeli forces intensify operations in the area.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that Israeli forces fired stun grenades toward journalists gathered near the entrance to Qalandia refugee camp before forcing them to leave the area, in what observers described as an effort to restrict media coverage of the ongoing military operation.

Israeli troops also sealed off the main Jerusalem road linking Kafr Aqab and Qalandia refugee camp, in addition to closing roads leading into the camp, preventing journalists, photographers, and television crews from accessing the area.

The restrictions have significantly limited on-the-ground reporting as the military operation continues.

According to local reports, Israeli forces also assaulted several Palestinian youths after detaining them during raids carried out inside Qalandia refugee camp and neighboring Kafr Aqab.

No further details were immediately available regarding the number of arrests or the condition of those detained.

The latest developments come as Israeli forces continue a large-scale operation in Qalandia refugee camp involving extensive troop deployments, road closures, home raids, and heightened security measures.
