Türkiye extends condolences over deadly Nigerian military aircraft crash
Türkiye's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed condolences following the deadly crash of a Nigerian military aircraft in Ondo State, extending sympathies to the victims' families and the Nigerian people.
In a written statement, the ministry said it was "deeply saddened by the loss of lives resulting from the crash of a military aircraft" in Nigeria's southwestern Ondo State.
"We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident, and to the people of Nigeria," the statement added.
The military aircraft crashed on Monday near the coastal town of Igbokoda in Ondo State while carrying 32 people, including 25 passengers and seven crew members. Nigerian authorities confirmed that there were no survivors and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
The crash is among Nigeria's deadliest military aviation disasters in recent years and prompted messages of condolence from several countries, including Türkiye.(ILKHA)
