Turkish President Erdoğan highlights Türkiye’s efforts to end Gaza genocide

Turkish President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a powerful speech during a meeting with the party’s provincial heads in Ankara, emphasizing Türkiye’s unwavering commitment to supporting Gaza amid Israel’s ongoing attacks.
Reflecting on the recent Eid al-Fitr celebrations overshadowed by violence, Erdoğan stated: “Innocent children, women, and civilians were atrociously massacred before the eyes of the whole world. We witnessed blatant crimes against humanity, including attacks on ambulances and healthcare workers. In response, we have mobilized all our resources and pursued every avenue to support the innocents in Gaza.”
The President highlighted his diplomatic efforts to address the crisis, noting that he had discussed the dire situation in Gaza during Eid calls with foreign leaders. He further announced that the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum will center on the genocide in Gaza, aiming to explore actionable steps to halt the oppression.
Türkiye’s Firm Stance Against Oppression
Erdoğan reaffirmed Türkiye’s steadfastness in defending the oppressed, stating: “No one can hinder us from standing up for the truth and the oppressed. Just as we have stood firm against the global Zionist lobby’s oppressions, we will neither bow down nor yield to oppressors. We will always cry out the truth.”
The President also underscored Türkiye’s broader commitment to human rights and regional stability, particularly regarding Syria, saying:
“As Türkiye, we neither violate anyone’s rights nor allow others to violate ours. Just like the innocents in Gaza, we will always stand with our Syrian brothers and sisters whenever they need us. We will fulfill our responsibilities to ensure Syria’s stability with determination.”
