Turkish forces neutralized 56 PKK/YPG members past week
The Turkish Defense Ministry has revealed that 56 members of the PKK/YPG were neutralized in the past week, with the total number of militants killed reaching 2,322 since the beginning of the year.
In a weekly press briefing, the MND stated: "With the 56 terrorists neutralized in the last week, including in Iraq and northern Syria, the number of terrorists neutralized this year has reached 2,322."
Additionally, the ministry reported that six PKK members, who had fled their shelters in northern Iraq, surrendered to a Border Post in Habur within the last week. This brings the total number of terrorists who have surrendered since the beginning of the year to 119.
The report also highlighted ongoing challenges in Syria, where harassment and attack attempts persist to disrupt the established security and peaceful environment in Turkish areas of operation.
The military responded to 467 attacks throughout the year, resulting in the neutralization of 1,435 terrorists, with 27 of them neutralized in the past week. (ILKHA)
