HÜDA PAR Chairman Yapıcıoğlu visits injured Palestinians in Ankara

HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu visited Palestinian families who were wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza and brought to Turkey for treatment, extending Eid al-Adha greetings and distributing gifts and pocket money to children staying in hotels in Ankara.
During the visit, Yapıcıoğlu underscored the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, calling for an urgent end to what he described as persecution and genocide. Speaking to members of the press, he emphasized that while medical aid and temporary shelter in Turkey are critical, the ultimate solution lies in restoring peace and dignity in Palestine.
“Today, within the scope of Eid visits, we met with families who were brought to Turkey by AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority) after being injured in Gaza. They are receiving care here, and they expressed deep gratitude to everyone involved in providing this support,” Yapıcıoğlu said.
Despite the festive occasion, Yapıcıoğlu noted the somber atmosphere among the families, many of whom remain emotionally devastated by the war. “Most came here as caregivers for their wounded children, while some lost loved ones in Gaza and left behind young children. Mothers here have children still in Gaza, and their foremost request is to be reunited with them,” he stated.
He highlighted the dire conditions in Gaza, stressing the destruction of infrastructure and the blockade of aid. “Access to water, medicine, and food is nearly impossible. People are dying of hunger,” he said, calling for international action to end the war and ensure Palestinians can safely return to their homeland.
Yapıcıoğlu also raised concerns about families being dispersed across different Turkish provinces post-treatment, adding to their emotional strain. “They want to stay together, even if outside Ankara,” he explained.
Concluding his visit, Yapıcıoğlu emphasized the importance of compassion during the Eid holiday. “It is our duty to bring joy to orphans, the poor, and the displaced. Today, our Palestinian brothers and sisters are among those most in need of support. We visited them not only to offer gifts but also to share in their pain and advocate for their needs.”
He extended his gratitude to all Turkish authorities and institutions facilitating the aid and care of Palestinian families, wishing everyone a blessed Eid. (ILKHA)
