Hope Caravan offers support for earthquake victims on 2nd anniversary

On the second anniversary of the devastating earthquakes that struck on February 6, 2023, the Hope Caravan Foundation (Umut Kervanı Vakfı) continued its commitment to supporting the affected communities in Kahramanmaraş.
The organization set up a tent in the cemetery to offer treats to visitors mourning at the graves of their loved ones lost in the disaster.
Mehmet Faik Doğan, the 2nd Regional Coordinator for Hope Caravan, led a delegation to the graveyard, where they paid respects to those who perished in the quake. Doğan expressed condolences to the families of the deceased, acknowledging the profound impact of the disaster.
"First of all, I wish God's mercy to our brothers who died in the earthquake," Doğan stated. "We wish condolences to our brothers who are left behind. May God never let such disasters happen to any society again."
Reflecting on the organization’s continued support, he added: "As in the first hours of the February 6 earthquake, we are still in the field, helping our brothers and sisters with their troubles. On this anniversary, we have set up a tent to assist visitors and honor the memory of those we lost. We will visit the graves and recite Holy Quran for the souls of our deceased brothers. May Allah protect our society from disasters and bless us with people willing to help in times of need."
The earthquakes, which struck two years ago, claimed thousands of lives and left lasting scars on the region. Organizations like Hope Caravan continue to provide solace and support as the community remembers and heals. (ILKHA)
