Erdoğan slams Israeli attack on Hamas delegation in Doha

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on the Hamas negotiation delegation in Doha, Qatar, calling it a blatant violation of international law and a deliberate attempt to destabilize the region.
In a statement, Erdoğan said: “The Israeli assault today on Hamas' negotiation delegation in Qatar has once again unequivocally revealed that the Netanyahu government, consumed by fury, seeks to exacerbate conflict and instability.”
The President highlighted that the attack also threatened the security and sovereignty of Qatar, describing it as an affront to the brotherly Gulf nation. “The security and peace of Qatar have been targeted by this attack, which blatantly breached international law and Qatar's sovereignty. I condemn this attack,” Erdoğan emphasized.
Reaffirming Türkiye’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Erdoğan stated that the Turkish government stands firmly with its Palestinian brothers and sisters, as well as with Qatar, Türkiye’s strategic partner and ally. “People who make terrorism a state policy will not be able to reach their goals,” he said.
Erdoğan condemned Israel’s ongoing acts of aggression, describing them as “banditry intended to drag the entire region into calamity.” He reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to advocating for Palestinian freedom, upholding international law, and pursuing peace, regardless of the challenges.
The President’s remarks come amid rising tensions in the region, as Israel continues its military and political genocide against Palestinians, targeting both civilian and political institutions. Türkiye’s strong stance underscores its role as a vocal supporter of Palestinian rights on the international stage. (ILKHA)
