Erdoğan receives Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kulubaev in Ankara
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Wednesday, as Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan continue efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, according to a statement from the Turkish Presidency.
While details of the discussions were not immediately released, the meeting comes amid ongoing diplomatic engagement between Ankara and Bishkek aimed at deepening cooperation in areas including trade, investment, transportation, energy, education and regional security.
Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan maintain close ties through their shared historical, cultural and linguistic links and are key members of the Organization of Turkic States.
Recent years have seen growing economic and political cooperation between the two countries, with both sides expressing support for expanding trade volumes and enhancing connectivity across Central Asia.
The meeting in Ankara is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan and to coordinate positions on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
