Türkiye’s total turnover rises 25.8% year-on-year in June
Türkiye’s total turnover index increased by 25.8% year-on-year in June 2026, according to data released Tuesday by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The total turnover index, which covers the industry, construction, trade and services sectors, continued to record strong annual growth despite a slight decline on a monthly basis.
Breaking down the annual figures, turnover in the industry sector increased by 26.7% in June compared with the same month a year earlier.
The construction sector recorded a stronger annual increase of 29.9%, while turnover in the trade sector rose by 23.5%.
The services sector posted the highest annual growth, with turnover increasing by 31.3% over the same period.
Despite the annual increase, the total turnover index, based on 2021=100, declined by 0.3% month-on-month in June 2026.
On a monthly basis, industry turnover fell by 2.7%, while construction turnover decreased by 0.7%.
In contrast, turnover in the trade sector increased by 0.5%, and the services sector rose by 0.8% compared with May.
The figures point to continued annual expansion across all four major sectors, although the monthly decline in overall turnover was largely driven by a contraction in industrial activity.
The data provide a broad snapshot of turnover conditions across Türkiye’s real economy and will be closely monitored alongside other economic indicators to assess the pace of economic activity in the second half of 2026. (ILKHA)
