Türkiye’s central bank reserves rise to $183.2 billion
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) recorded a significant increase in its reserves, which rose by 2.6 billion dollars, reaching 183 billion 242 million dollars.
According to the latest data released by the CBRT, total reserves climbed from 180 billion 631 million dollars to 183 billion 242 million dollars, marking a weekly increase of 2 billion 611 million dollars.
The breakdown of the data shows that gold reserves posted a substantial rise, increasing from 104 billion 392 million dollars to 107 billion 629 million dollars.
In contrast, foreign exchange reserves experienced a decline. FX reserves dropped from 76 billion 239 million dollars to 75 billion 613 million dollars over the same period.
The overall upward movement in total reserves was largely driven by the notable increase in the Central Bank’s gold holdings. (ILKHA)
