Orphans Foundation brings daily hot meals to families in Gaza amid humanitarian crisis
The Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı) continues its efforts to support families in Gaza through the “Her Gün Bir Sofra” (“A Table Every Day”) project, providing daily hot meals to those struggling to survive under the harsh conditions of Israeli blockade.
The initiative, funded by generous donors, is part of a wider wave of humanitarian aid led by civil society organizations and volunteers around the world. Through the project, the foundation aims to bring hope and sustenance to families who face difficulty meeting their basic food needs amid ongoing conflict.
Volunteer teams work under extremely challenging circumstances to prepare and package the meals, delivering them each day to orphaned children, displaced families, and civilians who have lost their homes. These meals offer not only essential nutrition but also a sense of comfort and relief, especially for families living among the rubble and children battling hunger.
Volunteers in Gaza described the scenes they witness during distributions as “beyond words,” noting the lengths people go to secure a single plate of food. They emphasized that the initiative does more than fill stomachs: it also provides a morale boost, with even a small smile on a child’s face serving as a profound source of motivation for the volunteers.
Orphans Foundation officials expressed deep gratitude to all donors, underscoring that ongoing support is critical to ensuring the sustainability of the project. With additional contributions, the foundation plans to expand the program, reaching more families and children in need.
Amid Gaza’s severe humanitarian crisis, “Her Gün Bir Sofra” continues to deliver thousands of hot meals daily, offering both sustenance and hope to those most affected by the conflict. (ILKHA)
