Yemeni forces strike Ben Gurion Airport in retaliation for Israeli war crimes in Gaza

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced on Monday that they had carried out a ballistic missile strike targeting Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv (occupied Yafa), in direct response to the ongoing Israeli occupation army’s assault on the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to a statement by Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni military, the precision attack was conducted using a Zulfiqar ballistic missile and successfully hit its target, causing significant disruption. The strike reportedly triggered widespread panic, forcing over four million Israeli settlers into shelters and temporarily halting air traffic at the airport, one of the most heavily guarded in the occupation’s territory.
General Saree described the operation as part of Yemen’s military solidarity with the Palestinian people and a just response to the “genocide and starvation being committed in Gaza and the repeated desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque.” The statement praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance and extended military greetings to the al-Qassam Brigades, al-Quds Brigades, and all fighters confronting Israeli forces.
“Free and sovereign Yemen will never abandon Palestine,” the statement affirmed, “and will remain by its side until the aggression ends and the unjust blockade is lifted.”
The Israeli occupation army confirmed that a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen earlier in the day, triggering sirens across central and southern occupied Palestine, including al-Quds (Jerusalem) and illegal settlements in the southern West Bank. Air defense systems were reportedly activated in multiple regions to intercept the projectile.
This marked the latest in a series of escalating long-range attacks by Yemeni forces. Since Israel intensified its ground invasion of Gaza on March 18, Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement has launched at least 44 ballistic missiles and over 10 drones toward the occupied Palestinian territories in direct military response to Israeli genocide and war crimes.
While some missiles have reportedly been intercepted or failed to reach their targets, the campaign has exposed growing vulnerabilities in the Israeli security system, repeatedly disrupting life across vast areas of occupied Palestine.
In a separate operation on Sunday, General Saree confirmed that the Rocket Force of the YAF carried out a “top-tier strategic military strike” using a hypersonic ballistic missile aimed once again at Ben Gurion Airport, successfully disrupting operations and sending shockwaves through the Israeli security establishment.
Simultaneously, the UAV Unit of the YAF conducted three drone operations targeting key Israeli sites in Yafa (Tel Aviv), Isdud (Ashdod), and Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat). All attacks were declared as acts of resistance in solidarity with the Palestinian people and as rejections of the war crimes being perpetrated in Gaza by the Zionist regime.
The Yemeni Armed Forces vowed to continue monitoring developments in Gaza and to escalate their military response should the aggression persist.
The latest operations underline the expanding regional scope of the conflict, as Yemen joins other resistance movements in a growing Axis of Support for Gaza amid Israel’s deepening military and humanitarian crisis in the Strip. (ILKHA)
