HÜDA PAR MP Faruk Dinç meets with NGOs and academics in Ağrı

HÜDA PAR Mersin MP Faruk Dinç met with non-governmental organization (NGO) representatives and academicians in Ağrı to discuss regional challenges and potential solutions, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with local stakeholders.
The meeting, held as part of Dinç’s outreach efforts, focused on topics such as socio-economic development, education, youth unemployment, rural migration, and regional security. Dinç emphasized the importance of cooperation between civil society, academia, and political institutions to produce lasting solutions. “As HÜDA PAR, we closely follow the country’s problems and are committed to working with NGOs and universities to find permanent remedies,” he said.
Participants shared various project ideas, particularly addressing moral decline among youth, and suggested targeted policies to boost employment, support agriculture and livestock, and ensure equitable access to education.
Dinç, who engaged directly with attendees’ concerns, assured that local demands would be carried to the national level. “We will convey the expectations and needs of Ağrı to Ankara in the strongest possible way,” he noted. “We are here to support the development of concrete projects that will benefit the people of this region.”
During the session, Dinç also elaborated on HÜDA PAR’s legislative initiatives currently before Parliament. He highlighted a proposal focused on prosecuting genocide perpetrators and expressed willingness to collaborate across party lines. “We told the AK Party: If you have reservations because it was our draft, tear it up. You prepare it and we will support you. What matters is that the genocide perpetrators are brought to justice.”
Another legislative proposal addressed by Dinç centered on the protection of the family and societal morality. He outlined HÜDA PAR’s call to criminalize what the party views as moral perversion, including specific penalties for acts deemed contrary to public decency. The proposal also includes harsher penalties for television content and programs considered harmful to family values.
“Our proposal includes prison sentences for those who promote immorality and perversion, including homosexuality,” Dinç stated, arguing that such issues negatively impact the fabric of society. “If a TV series or a daytime program spreads immorality, it should be punished more severely.”
The meeting, which lasted approximately three hours, concluded with a Q&A session where Dinç responded to questions from attendees. Participants were also provided with printed samples of HÜDA PAR’s legislative proposals.
Dinç’s visit underscores his party’s intention to strengthen ties with grassroots actors and promote policies rooted in conservative and religious values, while advocating for broader socio-economic reforms in eastern Türkiye. (ILKHA)
