Yemeni Armed Forces target Israeli, US military assets

Yemeni Armed Forces launched a decisive military operation on Wednesday targeting an Israeli military site in occupied Palestine and American warships in the Red Sea, affirming Yemen’s unwavering support for the oppressed Palestinian people and its defiance of foreign aggression.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the official spokesperson of the Armed Forces, announced that a military site in Tel Aviv was struck using a newly developed, domestically produced drone named Yafa—a symbol of Yemen’s growing defense capabilities and its enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause.
The operation also included a series of drone strikes targeting hostile warships in the northern Red Sea, with special focus on the American aircraft carrier USS Truman. Saree described the attacks as part of Yemen’s legitimate right to respond to ongoing American aggression and a direct retaliation for U.S. war crimes committed against innocent civilians across Yemen’s provinces.
“These operations are not only a response to the American assaults on our land, but also a clear message of solidarity with our brothers in Gaza who are enduring a barbaric genocide,” Saree said in the statement. “We stand firmly with the heroic Palestinian resistance and their just struggle against Zionist occupation and tyranny.”
The Armed Forces reiterated their principled and courageous stance, affirming: “Yemen is waging this battle with faith, determination, and honor. It has never bowed to invaders and never will. Yemen will remain a graveyard for aggressors and a steadfast supporter of every oppressed nation—especially Palestine.”
General Saree also declared that operations targeting Zionist maritime interests in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea will continue until the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted. “By the grace of God, our resolve remains unshaken. We will not abandon our sacred duty to confront this injustice and support our oppressed Palestinian brothers,” he stated.
In a separate announcement earlier on Wednesday, Yemen’s air defenses successfully shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone over Al-Jawf province using a domestically manufactured missile—a third such victory against American aerial aggression in just ten days, proving the strength and vigilance of Yemen’s defense systems.
As American attacks escalate, so too does the suffering of Yemeni civilians. The Ministry of Health reported nine martyrs and sixteen wounded in a recent wave of U.S. airstrikes on the city of Hodeidah—part of Washington’s ongoing military aggression that began in January 2024 in a failed attempt to crush Yemen’s steadfast support for Gaza.
Despite the bombing and blockade, Yemen continues to rise with dignity, proving that even under siege, it will not betray its principles nor its allies. The message from Sanaa is clear: Yemen stands firm with Palestine, and its resistance will not be silenced. (ILKHA)
