Massive Sanaa demonstration shows Yemen’s unbroken solidarity with Gaza

More than a million people flooded the streets of Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, in a massive rally expressing unwavering solidarity with Palestine.
The event, organized amid the country’s ongoing humanitarian crisis, once again underscored Yemen’s enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause despite years of war, sanctions, and economic hardship.
The chairman of the board of directors of Yemen’s official news agency, Saba, shared images and reports of the unprecedented turnout in a post on X, highlighting the scale and passion of the demonstration.
The rally is the latest in a series of weekly demonstrations in Yemen, where mass mobilizations in support of Gaza have continued unabated since the outbreak of the war. Despite crippling shortages of food, fuel, and medicine, Yemeni crowds have consistently taken to the streets to declare that Palestine remains a priority for the Yemeni people.
Analysts note that Yemen’s displays of solidarity serve as a powerful message to the world—that the Palestinian cause continues to transcend borders, even in nations facing their own immense challenges. (ILKHA)
