Venezuelan President Maduro condemns Israeli aggression on Gaza as genocide

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation’s ongoing military assault on the Gaza Strip, labeling it as a genocide against the Palestinian people and criticizing the international community’s inaction.
In a televised interview addressing key regional and global developments, President Maduro condemned what he described as a “war of extermination” being carried out by Israeli forces. He warned that the global silence surrounding the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza amounts to complicity in one of the most heinous crimes in modern history.
“A war of extermination is being waged against the Palestinian people, and whoever remains silent about this destruction targeting entire families is an eternal accomplice in one of the most serious crimes recorded in history,” Maduro said.
The Venezuelan leader reaffirmed his country’s firm support for the Palestinian cause and called for an end to the Israeli aggression. He emphasized the urgent need to establish lasting peace across the entirety of Palestine, particularly in the besieged Gaza Strip.
President Maduro’s remarks come amid mounting global outrage over the Israeli genocidal aggression, which since October 2023 has left tens of thousands of Palestinians dead or injured, the majority of them women and children. His statement adds to the growing international chorus demanding an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories. (ILKHA)
