United States: Chicago high school shooting leaves two students dead

Two teenage boys were tragically shot and killed on Friday afternoon while walking out of their high school in the Loop area of Chicago, according to police.
The shooting has shaken the community and sparked calls for increased gun violence prevention efforts.
The victims, identified as 16-year-old Robert Boston and 17-year-old Monterio Williams, were part of a group of students leaving Innovations High School.
The shooting occurred around 12:25 p.m. when two vehicles approached the scene, and masked individuals opened fire on the students. The targeted boys were rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition but, unfortunately, succumbed to their injuries.
According to Chicago Police Deputy Chief Jon Hein, the offenders fired multiple shots, resulting in the tragic deaths of the two teenagers. No other injuries were reported in the incident. (ILKHA)
