Türkiye condemns deadly attack in Islamabad
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, that claimed multiple lives and left dozens injured earlier on Tuesday.
In an official statement, the ministry expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, offering condolences to the victims and reaffirming Türkiye’s steadfast support for Pakistan in combating terrorism.
“We strongly condemn the terrorist attack that took place today (11 November) in Islamabad, Pakistan,” the statement read.
“We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured in this heinous attack. Türkiye will continue to stand in solidarity with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.”
The attack, which targeted civilians and government facilities near a courthouse, has drawn widespread condemnation from across the region. Turkish officials emphasized that terrorism poses a shared threat to peace and stability, calling for collective efforts to eliminate extremist networks.
Ankara and Islamabad have long maintained close defense, diplomatic, and counterterrorism cooperation, with Türkiye consistently supporting Pakistan in regional and international forums against terrorist threats. (ILKHA)
