Turkish FM Hakan Fidan meets NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels
Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Wednesday on the sidelines of the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Brussels.
The discussion focused on current NATO priorities, regional security developments, and Türkiye’s role within the alliance. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening NATO’s collective defense posture amid ongoing geopolitical challenges.
According to diplomatic sources, Fidan underlined Türkiye’s commitment to the alliance’s objectives and highlighted the importance of unity among NATO members. The meeting also touched on regional issues affecting Euro-Atlantic security.
