Palestinian resistance strikes Israeli forces in Sheja’iyya

Palestinian resistance fighters carried out a direct operation against Israeli occupation forces in the Sheja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, reportedly leaving at least one Israeli soldier critically wounded and prompting a swift emergency evacuation by helicopter to occupied Jerusalem, according to Israeli media reports.
Zionist outlets referred to the incident as a “security event,” downplaying what Palestinian sources have described as a bold and coordinated strike by local fighters defending their land against ongoing military aggression.
The helicopter landed at Shaare Zedek Hospital in occupied Jerusalem, where wounded occupation soldiers are often treated. The airlift underscores the severity of the injuries sustained during the clash in Sheja’iyya.
The latest operation comes amid intensified ground invasions and heavy bombardment across Gaza by Israeli occupation forces. Palestinian resistance groups, including the Al-Qassam Brigades—the armed wing of Hamas—continue to mount targeted counterattacks in defense of the besieged territory.
Just days earlier, Al-Qassam fighters reported a successful close-range ambush that killed two Israeli soldiers on Al-Nazzaz Street, also in Sheja’iyya. The fighters reportedly engaged the troops at point-blank range, underscoring the growing precision and resilience of resistance operations.
In southern Gaza, the Al-Qassam Brigades also announced the targeting of an Israeli D9 military bulldozer on Saturday. The machine, used in demolitions and incursions, was struck with a locally produced Yassin 105 missile near the Yarmouk site in the Al-Manara neighborhood of Khan Yunis.
The ongoing operations highlight both the brutality of Israel’s invasion and the determination of Palestinian fighters to repel occupation forces from Gaza's devastated neighborhoods.
These resistance efforts continue despite Israel’s overwhelming firepower and international impunity, as the population of Gaza endures what human rights groups have described as systematic ethnic cleansing and genocide.
Palestinian factions insist that their armed struggle is a legitimate act of self-defense in the face of decades of occupation, siege, and displacement, and they vow to continue resisting until full liberation is achieved. (ILKHA)
