Nine of her children martyred: Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar’s tragedy sparks global outcry

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed profound grief and outrage over the horrific killing of nine children belonging to Palestinian pediatrician Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar.
The massacre was carried out by Israeli occupation forces, who deliberately targeted her family home in Khan Younis while she was serving patients at Nasser Medical Hospital.
The Cuban leader, speaking through a post on X, called on the international community to end its silence and take immediate action to stop what he condemned as a “genocidal war of extermination” being waged by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people. His remarks came in response to a heart-wrenching image — generated to visualize the pain — of Dr. Al-Najjar, who now mourns the loss of nine of her ten children.
“This image reveals a painful and shocking truth that must awaken the conscience of all humanity,” Díaz-Canel declared. “How long will the perpetrators continue this genocide against the Palestinian people?”
The brutal Israeli airstrike struck Dr. Al-Najjar’s home last Friday in Khan Younis, mercilessly ending the lives of nearly her entire family. The incident is one of countless war crimes committed as part of the Zionist regime’s relentless aggression, which continues to target civilians, destroy homes, and shatter families under the guise of “security.”
President Díaz-Canel emphasized that the agony of Gaza’s mothers and the blood of its children must not be ignored. He demanded immediate international intervention to hold Israel accountable and halt the massacres that have turned Gaza into a killing field.
Cuba, a steadfast ally of the Palestinian cause, has consistently denounced the crimes of the Israeli occupation and stands firm in its call for justice, liberation, and the full realization of Palestinian sovereignty. (ILKHA)
